The Sir Mark Oliphant Conferences International Frontiers of Science and Technology

The Sir Mark Oliphant Conferences - International Frontiers of Science and Technology was launched in October 2001 on the centenary of the birth of Sir Mark Oliphant, a Foundation Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science and the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, and the first President of the Academy of Science.

The objective of the scheme is to support the goal of the Australian Government’s International Science Linkages – Science Academies Program by providing financial support to stage strategically significant international conferences in Australia on high priority, cutting edge, multi-disciplinary themes.

The conference series is managed on behalf of the Australian Government Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research by the Australian Academy of Science and the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering. The Conference Management Group consists of representatives of these organisations.
